Netonica scanner
Purpose
Netonica operates this scanner to monitor changes to public hosts, URLs and domains its users depend on. Scans may continue after a user stops monitoring an address.
Netonica may also scan public addresses for research.
Identification
The scanner's User-Agent identifies Netonica and links to this page. Scans currently run from our hosting provider's network in the EU. We do not publish a fixed list of scanner addresses.
Scope
The scanner reads public configuration and metadata, including TLS, DNS, HTTP headers and well-known files. It does not crawl or index pages, sign in, guess passwords or attempt to exploit vulnerabilities.
It does not follow robots.txt directives. We limit scan traffic to keep the load light.

To request a stop or report a problem, email badbot@netonica.com with the domain or address. For a problem, include the time and what you saw.
We may ask for proof that you control the domain. Stopping scans does not delete earlier results.
Send corrections to information we have published about your system to the same address.
